DISMISSED BY LAVAL. ALLEGED INTRIGUE. (By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright) LONDON, September 28. The first statement on the dismissal of one of Laval’s three Secretaries of State, M. Benoist-Mechin, which took place two days ago, has been made by Laval.. He declared: “I shall not tolerate any attack on the authority of the Government. I am fully determined to complete my task, and there is no reason why my Government should not stand firm.”
It is believed that Mechin has been urging the Germans in Paris to help the Doriot Fascists to seize power.
