The Masterton Homing .Pigeon Club held a race from Taumarunui, an airline distance of 145 miles. The following were the placings:—Stewart and Son's "Old Stock,” 1015 yards per minute, 1; L. Wickens’s “Ramona,” 1009 yards per minute, 2; W. Miller’s- "Dawn Patrol,” 1005.38 yards per minute, 3; W. Stear's “Red Rufus,” 1005.10 yards per minute, 4; L. Wickens’s "Lucky Doubt,” 1004 yards per minute, 5; J. Mayes's "Royal Chief,” 1001 yards per minute, 6.
