SALE AT FEILDING. DEMAND FOR DAIRY CATTLE. (By Telegraph—Press Association.) FEILDING, September 25. In spite ol atrocious weather there was a fairly good sale of live stock today. Fat sheep barely maintained last week's level with a smaller entry offered. There was a very small yarding of store sheep. Dairy cattle sold very well, with higher prices. There was a good clearance of fat cattle at average! prices. CARTERTON SALE GOOD PRICES REALISED. Messrs Wright Stephenson and Co.. Ltd., report as follows on their Carterton sale yesterday:—A small yarding of sheep and cattle and a good yarding of pigs came forward. Prices were good throughout. The following are some of the realisations: — Sheep: Prime hoggets, to 34s Gd; fat hoggets, 26s 6d, 27s to 28s; wether hoggets, to 17s 2d. Cattle: Jersey heifers on drop, £9, £9 15s to £lO 15s; springing cows, to £7; springing heifers, £6, £7 to £7 10s; yearling Jersey heifers, to £3 10s; fat cows, £6 5s to £G 7s; fat heifers, to £6 16s: forward cows. £3 15s, £4 to £4 ss; store cows, 22s 6d, 365, £2 10s to £3; cows and calves, to £3 10s; bulls, to £6 15s. Pigs: Baconers, to £3 15s: heavy porkers, £3 7s to £3 10s; porkers, £2 17s Gd to £3 Is; store pigs, to £2 13s;.slips, 355, 36s to 375; weaners (good), 28s 6d, 30s, 32s 32s 6d to 335; medium, 22s 6d. 235. 245, 25s' to 26s 6d ; small, 18s, 19s, 20s, 21s, 21s 6d to 225.
