RED STAR CLUB ANNUAL MEETING. TEAMS ENTERED FOR COMPETITIONS. The annual meeting of the Red Stai Cricket Club was held in the Savage Club rooms last night, and was presided over by Mr A. L. Paterson. As a mark of respect to fellow sportsmen who had made the supreme sacrifice in the war, members stood in silence for a few minutes. The annual report and balance sheet were adopted. The election of officers resulted as follows:—Patron. Mr L. J. Matthews; president. Mr B. Iveson; vice-presidents, Messrs C. Perry, J. A. Betts, H. B. Thomas, AV. Flv. G. Masters, F. Dohnt, P. Prescott. G. R. Croll, J. Nicholson. W. Joy; club captain, Mr F. Hoar; treasurer, Mr A. Bell; auditor, Mr A. L. Paterson; secretary, Mr G. B. Peterson; delegates to Wairarapa pricket Association, Messrs J. Renner, F. Hoar, F. Williams, K. Rue; management committee, Messrs F. Hoar, A. L. Paterson, J. Renner, E. Mooney, K. Rue, C. Reid. Mr W. Ashworth was elected a member. It was moved by Mr J. Renner, ano seconded by Mr E. Mooney, that the club enter a senior and junior team in the Wairarapa Cricket Association’s competitions. Hie motion was carried It was decided, on the motion of Mi J. Price/ seconded by Mr J. Renner, that the subscriptions for the ensuing year remain the same as in the past. Mr E. Mooney was appointed to organise the junior team for the first match It was decided, on the motion of Mr A. L. Paterson, seconded by Mr L. Bellworthy, that Messrs F. Hoar and A. Bell replace Messrs F. Pool and B. Wilmshurst as trustees of the Red Star Cricket Club, and be authorised to operate the banking account. On the motion of Mr E. Mooney, seconded by Mr F. Williams, it was decided that the secretary send Christmas parcels to members serving overseas. The secretary was instructed to write to Mr G. R. Croll. expressing the club’s sympathy with him in his recent illness, and wishing him a speedy rccovi ery.
