FRENCH PEOPLE
AGAIN ADVISED TO LEAVE COAST. OFFENSIVE BEING PREPARED. (By Telegraph—Press Association— Copyright) LONDON, September 23. The British Broadcasting Corporation has again urged the French to leave the coastal areas in order to avoid useless bloodshed in the Allied military, naval and air operations. The message added: “A United Nations offensive is _ being prepared, and this offensive will be launched on the day when we are assured of attaining our goal, which is nothing less than the total annihilation of Hitlerite Germany. When the moment comes to call for the co-operation ol the French as a whole, we will keep our promise and let you know in time.’
