TURF TOPICS In addition to the Masterton Racing Club having received permission to hold its spring meeting on the Otaki course on October 17, the Rangitikei Racing Club has had its date transferred from next February 27 tc October 28 next. The Hawke’s Bay New Year meeting ha: been changed to March 27 and April 3. The Taranaki Jockey Club has had February 13 transferred to February 27, and has been granted also March 6 for the additional day recently allotted to it. The North Canterbury Labour Day fixture will be held on the Motukarara course. The Levin Club intends to go on with its meeting set down for November 21. but because of the Levin course being unavailable the meeting will be held at Otaki. Taranaki Meeting. All racing conducted by the Taranak Jockey Club during the current season will be held on the Stratford course. OHINEMURI MEETING POSTPONED SOUGHT. (By Telegraph—Press Association.) AUCKLAND, September 22. Because of transport difficulties, the Ohinemuri Jockey Club has made application tc the authorities to postpone its spring meeting, which was fixed for September 2G, for a week, till October 3. It is hoped permission for the postponement will be granted, and that the matte: will be settled tomorrow at the latest. In the meantime arrangements are being made for the meeting to be held on October 3.
