REGENT THEATRE
“HISTORY IS MADE AT NIGHT.” “History is Made at Night,” will be filially shown tonight. “FLY BY NIGHT.” Three or four killings, dirty work at a lunatic asylum, and an invention that would make a natty secret weapon for any belligerent State are some indication of the concentrated thrills of “Fly by Night,” which will be shown at the Regent Theatre tomorrow night. More than that, there is a strong vein of comedy through the excitement. Running out of petrol sounds like the start of a young woman’s diary, but it is just that that embroils a young doctor in nightmarish adventures. First he has to drive at the point of a gun held by an apparent madman, then he is wanted for murder, and after that his main troubles start. In the meantime, of course, he has met a beautiful girl, and she shares his perils. Richard Carlson and Nancy Kelly are the stars.
The associate picture, “Treat ’Em Rough,” is an excellent comedy with Eddie Albert and Peggy Moran in the leading roles.
