CARTERTON
PERSONAL ITEMS (“Times-Age” Special.) , Among the New Zealand airmen who recently graduated in Canada was Sgt. Bert Hamilton, son of Mr and Mrs A. Hamilton, of Martinborough, formerly of Carterton. Mrs Burch, of Garrison Street, Carterton. yesterday received a message from her son in the Middle East, stating that he was in good health. Mr and Mrs Meyer, of High Street, Carterton, have received a cablegram from their sons, Sappers Mark and “Buddy” Meyer, who are serving in the Middle East, saying that they arc fit and well. Padre Miller, who has, been in Carterton for some considerable time, will leave at the end of September to take up duties, as Presbyterian Minister at Manaia. Car Removed. A car which had been left in the Club Hotel yard, Carterton, by a soldier was removed during his absence. The police have the matter in hand. Interesting Picture. An interesting war picture was shown at the State Theatre last evening to a large attendance of the Home Guard, E.P.S. units, Boy and Air Scouts.
