GRIM WARNING

TO PEOPLE OF UNITED STATES. LONG & HORRIBLE WAR FACED. (By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright) LONDON, September 21. A grim warning to the people of the United States was given by the United States war production chief, Mr Donald Nelson, today that the United States faces a long and horrible war in which the chief demand will be for unity and endurance, states a Kansas City message. Mr Nelson said that Americans must have a “deen and unrelenting hatred of everything our enemies stand for and a clear and steadfast vision of the eternal values we are fighting for.” Approximately 40 per cent of United States production was now devoted to war. said Mr Nelson, and this would reach about 60 per cent by the middle of 1943.
