ALLIED ATTACK

ON THE JALO OASIS SOUTH-EAST OF BENGHAZI. REPORTED BY ITALIANS. LONDON, September 22. In the Western Desert the Italians report a daylight attack by Allied motorised forces on the JaloOasis, which is 500 miles behind the Egyptian battlefront and 230 miles south-east of Benghazi.
