CONSTITUTED IN EAST YORKSHIRE EVACUATION OF CIVIL POPULATION. NAZI FEARS OF LANDING IN BELGIUM. (By Telegraph—Press Association— Copyright) LONDON. September 19. It is announced that the military authorities have ■ ordered the civilian evacuation of a large area of east Yorkshire (north-east England) which is being constituted a military zone. The Nazi occupation authorities in Belgium.'have ordered many families to leave Ostend after a few hours notice, because the Germans fear another Dieppe. Sabotage along the coast is reported to have increased, and numerous fires have been breaking out near German airfields in western Flanders.
