POLITICAL CENSORSHIP
CRITICISED IN SOUTH AFRICA. (By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright) LONDON, September 17. The Cape Town correspondent of, the “Daily Express”, says that though while he was in Britain hO had criticised the Ministry of Information’s censorship, he is now convinced that it is superb compared with South Africa’s. There is political censorship in South Africa in addition to acute sensitiveness to criticism. Moreover, , there is no recognition of the freedom of the Press. The visiting correspondents, he says, are perturbed, specially the Americans, .whom tlie censorship has converted from friendly propagandists to.sour critics.
