OTHER PEOPLE’S IDEAS
LANSDOWNE SCHOOL (To the Editor.) Sir, —I was very glad to see youi leader in yesterday’s paper regarding the u c e of the Lansdowne School by the Hospital Board. The leader was timely and appropriate. . I was also interested to see in the previous day’s issue a report of the matter as it was discussed at the meeting of the Wairarapa Hospital Board, and to note the intention of the board to explain the position to the Teacheis Institute. It is to be hoped that when writing the board will set out for the information of the institute the steps taken at the hospital to try to accommodate the additional patients without taking over the school, and the number of patients actually accommodated at the school. Mention should, of course, be made of the number of vacant beds in the hospital during the period. The letter would no doubt make interesting reading, and the board would probably furnish your paper with a copy for public information—Yours, etc LANSDOWNE PARENT. Lansdowne, September 18.
