There will be an exceptionally good double programme at the Regent Theatre tonight. ‘Border Vigilantes” is another of the outstanding “Hopalong” Cassidy series of pictures, and tells a most thrilling story, with William Boyd and Andy Clyde in the principal roles. The- photography is excellent, and the acting up to the high standard as.sociated with tncse pictures. _ ‘‘Gentleman from Dixie” is an exciting racing drama, in which Jack La Rue and. Marian Marsh are featured, re is a picture that should appeal to lovers of horse racing. The Clarence Muse Singers are featured prominently in Gentlemen from Dixie,” rendering the universallyloved melodies of Stephen Foster, Old Black Joe” and “Camptown Races,” and the immortal spirituals, “Go Down, Moses” and “Nobody Knows the Trouble, I’ve Seen.” There is a chorus of fifty negro voices assembled and trained by Clarence Muse, outstanding negro concert singer, who also plays an important role in the film.
