WOMEN’S DIVISION SPINNING DEMONSTRATION. (“Times-Age” Special.) _ , At a meeting of the Women’s Divis- 1 ion of the Farmers’ Union, Mrs Brandon presided. It was decided to make a donation to the fund for providing comforts for the men of the Merchant Navy. Mrs Brandon and Miss Viles gave a demonstration of spinning. ■ Mrs Mellish and Miss Goodrick were the tea hostesses. Personal Items. Private lan Feast, who has been home on leave, returned to camp today. Misses Jean Houston and McPhee, have returned to Wellington after having been the guests of Mrs Houston. A party was held at the residence of Mr and Mrs Roy Donald on Monday night in honour of Private lan Feast, when an enjoyable 'time was spent. Mr Cole, on behalf of those present, handed Private Feast a leather hold-all. Private Feast suitably replied. COSY THEATRE “MAYTIME.” There will be presented at the Cosy Theatre tonight one of the most brilliant musical comedies ever brought to the ."croen, “Maytime,” in whicn Jeanette MacDonald and Nelson Eddy have the chief roles.
