It is learned in London that the Cardinals and Archbishops of occupy France have protested to Marshal Petain against the. mass arrests and illtreatment of Jews. The protest states. ■‘We cannot stifle the voice of our conscience. In the name of humanity and the principles of Christianity, we protest in behalf of the rights of mankind.”
