USE OF DYNAMITE

DESTRUCTION OF DISABLED ENEMY TANKS. BRITISH METHODS IN EGYPT. (By Telegraph—Press Association —Copyright) NEW YORK, September 14. Lieut.-Colonel John Snyder, Chief of the Intelligence Section of the Air Transport Command, who escorted Mr Wendell Willkie to Egypt, says the British are knocking out Rommel's tanks by placing dynamite under them. Light motorised forces sweep out and place charges under tanks that may have been only temporarily disabled by bombs or shell fire.

Rommel has excellent repair facilities, but is finding tank reclamation a tough job now.
