EXPANSION OF AMERICAN WAR PRODUCTION MR NELSON BROADCASTS. PRESIDENT & INFLATION PROBLEM. (By Telegraphy-Press Association— Copyright) NEW YORK, September 14 The war production chief, Mr Nelson, in a broadcast asserted that American war production has increased 350 per cent since Pearl Harbour but that the output “is not sufficient to turn the tide of battle in oui favour.” , , , , , “That is a good record, but not good enough,” he said. “In this game there is no second prize, and we are playing for keeps. The United States is engaged in a fight to the death against the Axis. There is no place for Americans in Japan’s co-prosperity sphere, or in Hitler’s new order.
