Weather changeable with showery periods. Temperatures cold, with occasional snow in the lower levels and risk of sharp frosts in sheltered areas. FURTHER OUTLOOK: Continuing cold and changeable. Towns reports as follows for the 24 hours ended 8 a.m. today:— Barograph 29.81; shade temperature, maximum 43.9, minimum 35.2. terrestrial 29.9; sunshine, nil; rain 38 points; frost, .5 degrees. PHASES OF THE MOON, SEPTEMBER. New moon, September 11. First quarter, September 18. Full moon, September 25. Draw blinds at 6.15 p.rn. today; raise them at 5.59 a.m. tomorrow.
