LATEST OFFICIAL FORECAST FEW ISOLATED SHOWERS. OTHERWISE FAIR TO CLOUDY & COLD. The following official weather report and forecast was issued by the Meteorological Office, Wellington, at noon today:— DISTRICT FORECAST: Fresh south-easterly .winds, decreasing and turning to north-easterly. A few isolated showers at first. Weather otherwise fair to cloudy and cold. FURTHER OUTLOOK: Fair to cloudy. LOCAL REPORT. Mr H. M. Boddington reports that 51 points of rain fell at Solway during the 24 hours ended 9 a.m. today. Mr N. W. Towns reports as follows for the 24 hours ended 8 a.m. today:— Barograph, 30.26; shade temperature, maximum, 46.2; minimum, 38.4; terrestrial, 31.1; sunshine, 1 hour 12 minutes; rain, 51 points. Draw blinds at 6.15 p.m. today; raise them at 6.22 a.m. tomorrow.
