FINE ACHIEVEMENT

OF NORWEGIAN AIRMEN IN THE RAID ON DIEPPE. FOURTEEN ENEMY PLANES DESTROYED. (British Official Wireless.) (Received This Day, 10.25 a.m.) RUGBY, August 26. The Norwegian Air Force announces that a total of 14 enemy planes were destroyed by Norwegians in the raid on Dieppe. This included six of Germany’s latest Dornier 217 bombers. Four enemy planes were probably destroyed and another thirteen damaged. Two Norwegian airmen were killed. A nineteen-year-old pilot shot down two German planes and probably destroyed one. He was the youngest pilot participating.
