MAURICEVILLE
CHILDREN’S INTEREST IN AGRICULTURAL CALF COMPETITIONS. (“Times-Age” Special.) The children attending the Mauriceville East School are taking a keen interest in the forthcoming agricultural and calf competitions, and it is expected that their enthusiasm will receive its due reward. Members of the School Committee are generously donating trophies in connection with these competitions and would appreciate assistance in this direction from local residents or old pupils. Personal Items. Mrs R. J. Clarke has returned from a visit to Wellington. Mrs T. Avery is at present spending a holiday in the Manawatu. Mrs Geo. McWhirter, is visiting Palmerston North. Mrs I. D. Cameron is on a short visit to the Manawatu. Mrs J. N. McArley is spending a few days at Lake Ferry. Mrs J. A. Baine and family are spending a holiday in the Manawatu.
