NEW ZEALAND PREMIER
VISIT TO UNITED STATES. LIKELY TO ATTEND PACIFIC WAR COUNCIL. (British Official Wireless.) (Received This Day. 10.20 a.m. RUGBY, August 25. In announcing at the White House that the New Zealand Premier (Mr Fraser) was on a visit to the United States at the invitation of President Roosevelt, the President’s Secretary. Mr Stephen Early, said Mr Fraser had reached the Pacific coast today and would proceed to Washington to be received by the President. Mr Early said he assumed Mr Fraser would attend the Pacific War Council during his visit, but no details of his programme have yet been announced. OTHER INVITATIONS TO PREMIERS OF AUSTRALIA & SOUTH AFRICA. (Received Thil Day. 12.45 p.m.) WASHINGTON, August 25. President Roosevelt has announced that he has invited the Prime Ministers of Australia and South Africa to visit him some time this year, to confer on the war’s progress.
