RECORD RECEIPTS
—— FOR ANGLICAN MISSIONS. (By TelePranh —Press Association.) 1 WELLINGTON, This Day. A record sum of £26.143 was received last year by the Anglican Board of Missions. The previous highest receipts were £23.814, in 1940. A special appeal for orphaned or imperilled missions raised £1,950 and of this amount £1.500 has already been forwarded abroad in sums of £325 each to Tanganyika, Jerusalem, China and India, acid £lOO each to the Belgian Congo arid Tahiti. Of the ordinary receipts, .£B.OOO was given to the Melanesian Mission, £6,000 to the New Zealand Church Missionary Society for work in India. China and Africa, £1,300 to Polynesia, £9OO for North China, £719 for Jerusalem and smaller amounts elsewhere. The board, at its annual meeting, fixI ed budgets for the incoming year at the same figures as those of last year, with I the exception of an increase in the allotment to Polynesia.
