SLOVENES EXECUTED FOR FIGHTING AGAINST ITALY. THOUSANDS OF PATRIOTS SENT TO PENAL CAMPS. (By Telegraph—Press Association —Copyright) (Received This Day. 12.20 p.m.) LONDON, August 24. Fifteen Slovene soldiers, described as Communists, who fought against the Italians in Yugoslavia, have been executed in Rome, says Reuter’s correspondent on the Italian frontier. Seven other soldiers under eighteen years of age were each sentenced to thirty years’ imprisonment. Eight thousand men between fourteen and fifty have been sent to concentration camps from Ljubljana, which is the centre of General Mikhailoyitch’s. patriots. A Budapest message states that a German mobile military tribunal at Zemun sentenced to death eighteen Croats from Stayapazove and Karlovac for assaults against officials.
