Weather fine; cool night and moderate day temperatures . FURTHER OUTLOOK: Possibility of a cold southerly change, with shov/ers. LOCAL REPORT. Mr N. W. Towns reports as follows for the 24 hours ended 8 a.m. yesterday:—Barograph, 29.80; shade temperature, maximum, 61.8; minimum, 45.1; terrestrial, 34.9; sunshine, nil; rain, 2 points. Mr Towns reports as follows for the 24 hours ended 8 a.m. today:—Barograph, 29.98; shade temperature, maximum, 62.2; minimum, 37.1; terrestrial, 28.2; sunshine, 7 hours; rain, 18 points; frost, 2.2 degrees. Mr H. M. Boddington reports that 2 points of rain fell at Solway during the 24 hours ended 9 a.m. on Sunday, and 12 points to 9 a.m. today. PHASES OF THE MOON. Full moon, August 26. Draw blinds at 6.15 p.m. today; raise them at 6.28 a.m. tomorrow.
