GREYTOWN
HIGH SCHOOL PARTY ENJOYABLE GATHERING. (“Times-Age” Special.) A very enjoyable end of term High School party was held in the Odd Fellows’ Hall on Tuesday evening. The hall was filled with pupils, their parents, friends and teachers. The time was spent in dancing and several items were given by the pupils. Margaret OlNeale recited, and Peter Brabender and Max Garrity gave a humorous sketch.
The Monte Carlo dance was won by Mesdames Whimp and R. Anker. A film star competition was won by Gwen Reid and Kelvin Bryan. Supper was served by the pupils. The music was supplied by Mrs H. G. Carter, who was presented with a posy of violets by Annie Connelly. Extras were played by Kathie Bouzaid and Mary Carter. At the conclusion of the gathering, Mr Shedden, headmaster, expressed pleasure at the way the pupils had carried out the arrangements. TOWN HALL “MOON OVER BURMA.” Tonight’s programme is headed by two special features —“Moon Over Burma,”- a thrilling drama featuring Dorothy Lamour, Robert Preston and Preston Foster, and “Weekend For Three,” a comedy drama in which Zasu Pitts, Ed. Everett Horton and Dennis O’Keefe have roles for which they are particularly suited.
