HOCKEY
LADIES’ ASSOCIATION. WELLINGTON TEAMS TO VISIT WAIRARAPA. The Wairarapa Ladies’ Hockey Association has received advice that the Wellington Ladies’ Association is prepared to send a senior B and a junior team to Wairarapa to take part in the annual contest between Wellington and Wairarapa for the SpiersBrough Cup and the Robertson Cup. respectively. A date early in September is suggested. This is acceptable’ to the local association. which has decided to ask Wellington to rend a senior A team also if possible as otherwise there will be no game this season for the Wairarapa senior A team. A senior and junior trial game will be played on Saturday week at Masterton. The selectors are Messrs A. Kay (senior) and A. Southey (junior).
