The collection of bobby calves for the northern and southern areas is being carried out on systematic lines. So far this season hundreds of calves have been taken from Wairarapa farms to the meat works, and each Monday and Thursday sees considerable additions to the total. It is expected that there will be a record supply this year. Parcels for Soldiers. Carterton’s quota of over 200 parcels for soldiers serving in the armed forces overseas has been dispatched to the headquarters at Wellington. It is a matter for congratulation that Carterton’s quota has been filled on each occasion.
