FROM SOUTH ISLAND STATION

INTENSIVE SEARCH BEING MADE. AIRCRAFTMAN FLYING SOLO. (By Telegraph—Press Association.) WELLINGTON, This Day. An aircraft of the Royal New Zealand Air Force, in which Leading Aircraftman John Donald Scott Orbell was undergoing solo aerobatic training, is missing from a South Island flying training school. An intensive search is being made. Aircraftman Orbell’s father is Major R. G. S. Orbell, of Oamaru, at present in Dunedin.
