STIRLING 4-ENGINED BOMBER —Stirling sub-stratosphere aircraft, most powerful of Britain’s long-range bombers and capable of carrying an 8-ton bomb load. Despite its great size and weight (30 tons when fully loaded) the Stirling has a speed of 300 m.p.h., and a range of 2000 miles while its heavy armament and great manoeuvrability make it a match fox enemy fighters.
