ROUTINE ORDERS FOR WEEK.
MASTERTON BATTALION.
Routine orders for the Masterton Battalion of the Home Guard, issued by Major A. L. Hibbs, D.C.M., commanding, are: — Parades: A, B and C Coys, as arranged by company commanders. Signals Platoon: Central School, Thursday, August 20, at 7.0 p.m. M.M.G. Platoon: Mokatoa Hall, Thursday, August 20, at 7.0 p.m. Mortar Platoon:, Soldiers’ Club, Thursday, August 20, M 7.0 p.m. Pioneers’ Platoon: Farmers’ Union Room, Perry Street, tonight at 7.0 p.m. Medical Platoon: As arranged by platoon commander. Country Companies: As arranged by company commanders.
Battalion Pool: Men who are transferred to the pool must realise that they are still members of the Home Guard and can be called upon to replace those men marched out. Promotions: L/Cpl. K. Scott to be Sgt. C Coy. Marched out: Maisten, G. S„ to Air Force (B Coy.); Cheetham, R. D., to Army; Whyborne, G. R., to Army (A Coy.); Mclsaac, G. H„ to Army (B Coy.); Summers, I. H., to Army (H.-Q. Coy.); Foster, P. R. J., to Army (A Coy.); Douglas, W.; Gaskin, L. M., to Hospital; Brittain, V. G. C., Lepia, E. . H., Likara, A. J., to C.D.S.I.
