Shade temperature: Maximum 53.3, minimum 44.6. terrestrial 41. Sunshine, nil. Rain, 9 points. Mr H. M. Boddington reports that 6 points of rain fell at Solway during the 24 hours ended 9 a.m. today. PHASES OF THE MOON. First quarter, August 19. Full moon, August 26. Draw blinds at 6.15 p.m. today; raise them at 6.37 a.m. tomorrow.
