SCHOOLS TOURNAMENT. WAIRARAPA TEAM. The following have been selected to represent Wairarapa at the annual quadrangular tournament to be played this year at Hutt and Petone. The team will leave on Friday next and will play on the following Saturday, Monday and Wednesday:—H. Theobald. A. Hayman, A. Mclvor, J. Turner, G. Wright (Martinborough); O. Mellish, R. Geary, R. Sayer (Central). The managers will be Messrs T. A. Hardie (Carterton) and J. A. Kennedy (Masterton).

Showing excellent team work, Petone won the Wellington Rugby Union's senior championship for 1942 by outclassing PonekeOriental in the Jubilee Cup competition at Athletic Park on Saturday afternoon by 26 points to 9, in the deciding game.
