NO CHANGE

SHOWN IN LAND POSITION IN EGYPT MORE ENEMY BARGES SUNK BY AIR ATTACK. AMERICAN FIGHTER PILOTS IN ACTION. LONDON, August 16. In Egypt there is no change in the land situation. Planes are active in the battle area. Enemy motor barges off the African coast have been attacked, at least three more being sunk and many others damaged. An escorting fighter has also been destroyed.

American fightei- pilots took part in their first operations in Egypt on Saturday, when they formed part of a fighter escort for a force of light bombers, which raided an enemy landing ground. The fighter screen gave full cover to the bombers and the operation was highly successful.
