AIR ATTACKS

ON AXIS LAND AND SEA TRANSPORT CONTINUED IN LIBYA. WITH LAND PATROL ACTIVITY. (British Official Wireless.) (Received This Day, 9.40 a.m.) RUGBY, August 14. A Cairo communique states: “During Wednesday night our patrol activity continued and casualties were inflicted on enemy patrols and working parties in the northern sector. Our artillery shelled a position in the central sector. “Yesterday there was nothing to report from our land forces. Throughout the day fighter-bombers attacked enemy vehicles and encampments. Our light bombers sank at least one motorlighter off the African coast.”
