An Appeal Dismissed.

At a sitting of the Transport Licensing Authority at Masterton, Messrs Fly and Young applied for an additional transport licence which was granted. Trespassing on Reserve. The authorities should be ' advised that unless the emergency was apparent, trespassing on a scenic reserve under any circumstances was prohibited, said Mr A. F. Waters, Commissioner of Crown Lands, in notifying the Taranaki County Council that several small tawhero trees in a scenic reserve had been- cut down by the Home Guard. Nothing in a scenic reserve should be disturbed without the consent of the Minister in charge of Scenery Preservation, Mr Waters pointed out.
