HOCKEY

LADIES’ ASSOCIATION SIX-A-SIDE TOURNAMENT. TOMORROW AT LANSDOWNE. A six-a-side tournament conducted by the Wairarapa Ladies’ Hockey Association, will be held at the hockey grounds at Lansdowne tomorrow, Saturday, commencing at 1 p.m. sharp and concluding at approximately 5 o’clock. Owing to time being limited entries were confined to teams taking part in the local competitions. Ten senior and ten junior teams have been entered—a total of 120 players—and as each team will play at least four games, there should not be a dull moment from the spectators’ point of view. Teams should note that they must take the field promptly at the appointed time, otherwise they will concede a forfeit. Teams are also required to provide a ball each. Afternoon tea will be available on the ground, and, given fine weather, a most. enjoyable afternoon's sport should be provided. EXCELSIOR TEAMS. The following players will represent the Excelsior Ladies’ Hockey Club in the six-a-side tournament tomorrow: — Senior A: D. Harding, N. Page, E. McKenzie, R. Harding, L. Wilton, J. Hartmann.
