SAVED UNDER OFFICIAL ORDER. BECOMING A NUISANCE. (By Telegraph—Press Association.) WANGANUI, This Day. Complaint is being made that, although three weeks have elapsed since the prohibition of the destruction of waste paper, householders still have not been informed v.hat they have to do with accumulating supplies. The subject was referred to at' a meeting of the Rangitikei County Council, when it was stated that waste paper had descended on the collection depot like a snowstorm, and the council did not know what to do with it. The danger of fire was stressed and it was also stated that the place was full of rats’ nests. The engineer was instructed to make inquiries as to what the authorities wanted done with the paper.
