MEAT & VEGETABLES

GREAT INCREASE IN CANNING. PLANNED IN AUSTRALIA. (Special Australian Correspondent.> ■ MELBOURNE, August 6. Meat is to be canned “to the limit of the nation’s capacity,” and there will be a 30-fold increase in the canning of vegetables. This is part of the campaign of intensified food processing decided on by the Australian Food Council. The British Minister of Food has been asked to send two representatives to join the Australian Food Council.
