ROTARY CLUB

BUSINESS AT WEEKLY LUNCHEON. The weekly luncheon meeting of the Masterton Rotary Club was held in the Y.M.C.A. Rooms today, the president, Mr Norman Lee, being in the chair. The speaker for the occasion was Mr A. F. McMurtrie, Assistant Director of Education. A report of his address appears on paeg 2. He was accorded a hearty vote of thanks on the motion of Mr J. H. Cunningham. Visitors at the luncheon were Messrs J. H. La wry, S.M., G. H. Stubbs," senior inspector of schools; W. RNicol, chairman of the Wairarapa College Board of Governors; J. P. Farrell, headmaster of the Masterton West School, and R. Taiboys, of Wanganui. Apologies for absence were received from Messrs F. J. Gair, Principal of Wairarapa College, and J. W.'T. Jones, headmaster of Lansdowne School. A welcome back to the club was extended to Mr M. Armstrong.
