AIR ATTACKS ON GERMANY & OCCUPIED AREAS SIX ENEMY PLANES DESTROYED OVER EJRITAIN. OUT OF FORCE OF ABOUT THIRTY. LONDON, August 5. R.A.F. fighters and Boston bombers were reported to be out across the English Channel in force throughout today. Formations of planes were seen flying back during the morning and afternoon from the Calais area and other parts of Northern France. The Air Ministry announces that last night the R.A.F. bombed targets in the Ruhr. In occupied territory, railways and other targets were attacked. One bomber and one fighter are missing. Out of some 30 enemy raiders seen over this country during the night, six were destroyed. Some bombs were dropped over south and south-west England and a few planes got as far as South Wales. Some damage was done and some people were injured.
