Australia is completely satisfied with its status and rights as a self-govern-ing member of the British Commonwealth of Nations, says Mr J. Curtin (Federal Prime Minister), commenting on a statement by the leader of the Indian Congress, Pandit Nehru, that he “hated Dominion status.” The partnership is that of equals in a fraternity of unity, whose history has been marked by great contributions to civilisation and whose future we are defending to our utmost as the stronghold of Democracy,” Mr Curtin added.
