LITTLE THEATRE
FORTNIGHTLY PLAY READINGS. Though the temporary use of the Opera House for commercial purposes has necessitated postponement of the production of the three-act play “People in Love,” the activities of the Little Theatre Society are by no means in abeyance. In particular, the fortnightly play readings are still being carried on in the Women’s Division Clubroom. The play set down for this evening’s reading is “Margin for Error,” and is described as an exceptionally brilliant play, full of topical interest. It is from the pen of Clare Booth, who wrote the famous play “The Women,” but it in no way resembles that play as to subject-matter. It gives great scope for its authoress’s genius in satirical comedy. At the succeeding reading, on August 19, the 'uproarious comedy “Fresh Fields,” by Ivor Novello, will be read.
