Temperatures: Absolute shade maximum, 68.3 degrees on 2nd (63.1): absolute shade minimum, 28.0 degrees on 9th (23.4). Thus the range was 40.3 (39.7). Mean temperature for the month, 45.8 (44.4) Absolute grass minimum, 20.5 on 9th (13.9) ; average grass minimum, 33.0 (28.2); average at one foot underground, 48.0 (43.2). Severest frost, 9.8 degrees on night of 9th (16.5) Days of frost (grass minimum 30.4 degrees Fahr, or lower), 9 (17); of shade temperature below 32 degrees F., 8 (11); of gale 3 (3). Total rainfall, 6.23 inches on 22 days (2.85 inches); greatest fall, 248 points on 13th (75). Total sunshine, 82.5 hours (125.3); daily average, 2.7; sunniest day, 22nd, 9 hours (8.9) wind run, 2839 miles (2041); average 91.6.
