RAILWAY LINE

SLIPS AND SUBSIDENCES NORTH OF MASTERTON. TRAINS RUNNING AGAIN TODAY. Slips and subsidences in the railway line between Masterton and Eketahuna caused a stoppage of traffic yesterday. Subsidences occurred at the approaches of some of .the bridges. North of Eketahuna the line was not affected. Repairs are well in hand and the line was reopened before noon today. A slip on the Rimutaka Incline caused some delay yesterday but the obstruction was cleared by 11.30 a.m. The rail-car service was maintained between Wellington and Masterton.
