RAID ON HONG KONG
MADE BV AMERICAN PLANES, JAPANESE SHIPS PROBABLY DAMAGED. MAINLAND TERRITORY ALSO BOMBED. (Bv Telegraph—Press Association— Copyright) LONDON. August 2. A Chungking communique states that American bombers attacked the naval dockyard at Hong Kong last Sunday. Ships under repair there were probably damaged. Kowloon, inland from Hong Kong, and Kcpak aerodrome, were also bombed.
