STATE THEATRE

“STANLEY AND LIVINGSTONE.” Tonight there will be shown an outstanding picture full of dramatic situations, “Stanley and Livingstone.” The picture tells the thrilling story of Stanley’s search for Dr. Livingstone in the heart of Africa. Livingstone was the explorer and missionary whose discoveries in Africa greatly advanced geographical knowledge. In 1871 considerable apprehension was felt in regard to his fate, and an expedition under H. M. Stanley discovered, him near Lake Tanganyika. It is the events subsequent to this historical meeting which are so graphically described in a picture which makes a drama of outstanding interest. The acting is exceptionally good, and the scenery is particularly noticeable for its beauty.
