GREYTOWN

TOWN HALL “CITIZEN KANE.” Tomorrow night’s programme will be headed by the outstanding drama “Citizen Kane” which is the story of an American money king. Inheritor of a huge fortune, Charles Foster Kane leaves college resolved to become the most powerful man in the country, builds a great chain of enterprises as the foundation of his one-man’ kingdom, and strides colossus-like toward his ambition. The players, although few of them are known to film audiences, do a notable job of maintaining the realism of the picture. Dorothy Comingore and Ruth Warrick, as Kane’s two wives, stand out in particular, as do Joseph Cotten as Kane’s long-standing friend, Everett Sloane as his loyal manager, George Coulouris as his banker-guardian, Ray Collins as a political opponent and William Alland as an inquisitive reporter.
