MILITARY COURTS

FOR AMERICAN - TROOPS IN BRITAIN. (British Official Wireless.) (Received This Day, 11.25 a.m.) RUGBY, July 28. In the House of Lords, Lord Simon introduced a Bill to give effect to the agreement recorded in Notes exchanged between the United Kingdom and the United States relating to jurisdiction over members of the military and naval forces of the United States. The Bill provides for criminal jurisdiction over American troops in Great Britain and Northern Ireland to be exercised by American military courts sitting here, and not by our own criminal courts.
